Chloe stands unacknowledged despite five years in a bloodbond with Stefan Wexley, while Elena acts as Lady of the Dominion. When young Lily calls Stefan her father, Elena storms out. Stefan orders Lily tied in the Sun Chamber. Chloe begs to take her place, but Stefan kicks her away. The sunlight severely burns Lily. While Stefan buys a star for Elena's birthday, Chloe cradles her injured daughter and begs Lady Margaret to let them leave.

  1. 00:00: Unacknowledged Bond

    Chloe stands in the banquet hall and reflects on her five-year bloodbond with Stefan Wexley. Stefan has never acknowledged Chloe or their daughter Lily. Instead, his first love Elena acts openly as Lady of the Dominion before the guests.

  2. 00:15: Lily's Banishment to the Chamber

    Lily walks up to Stefan and calls him her father. Elena becomes angry and storms out of the banquet hall. To punish Lily for upsetting Elena, Stefan commands that the young girl be bound inside the Sun Chamber.

  3. 00:36: Chloe's Desperate Plea

    Chloe drops to her knees in the castle hall and begs Stefan for mercy. She explains that direct sunlight will destroy Lily's heart and offers to take her spot. Stefan kicks Chloe aside and claims the child will survive.

  4. 00:58: Burned by the Sun

    Sunlight fills the chamber, and Lily screams in pain as it burns her flesh. Chloe carries her burned child back to the bedroom later that night. In tears, Lily asks her mother if her father has abandoned her.

  5. 01:25: Elena's Birthday Celebration

    Stefan throws an extravagant birthday party for Elena in the grand celebration hall. He presents her with a newly named star. Vampire society headlines report on the lavish gift and their public romance across the dominion.

  6. 01:38: Chloe Begs Lady Margaret

    Lady Margaret enters the bedroom to check on the injured child. Chloe holds Lily close against her chest. Heartbroken over Lily's burns, Chloe asks Margaret for permission to take her daughter and leave the manor forever.
