Evie runs to the crashed car and heals the injured Eleanor Sterling with glowing magic, enduring sharp pain herself. Eleanor wakes up and hands Evie a packaged sandwich from the ground. She wraps the hungry girl in a warm embrace. When Clara Bates arrives with cars to bring Eleanor back to Alexander and Sebastian, Eleanor refuses to leave Evie behind. Evie says goodbye to the stag and takes Eleanor's hand.

Episode 2 scene by scene

00:00: Healing the Duchess
Evie hurries over to the car wreckage. She kneels beside the unconscious Eleanor Sterling and presses her glowing hands against the injuries. The healing magic causes Evie severe pain, but she keeps holding on until Eleanor's wounds close completely.
00:28: A Hungry Request
Eleanor opens her eyes and asks Evie if she saved her life. Evie worries Eleanor might hate her as a witch. Her stomach rumbles loudly, so she points to a dropped packaged sandwich on the ground and asks for it.
00:52: A Comforting Embrace
Eleanor gently picks up the packaged food and hands it to Evie. Evie accepts the meal with deep gratitude. Eleanor begins to cry as she looks at the little girl, pulling Evie into her arms for a tight hug.
01:28: Clara Arrives with Help
Several vehicles pull up to the roadside. Clara Bates runs toward Eleanor and says Duke Alexander and Master Sebastian are waiting. Clara urges her to return immediately, but Eleanor firmly tells the maid that Evie is coming with them.
02:03: Leaving with Eleanor
Eleanor asks Evie if she wants to come home with her. Evie turns around to bid farewell to the giant stag watching from the trees. She then turns back and places her small hand right into Eleanor's open palm.

Evie places her hand into Eleanor Sterling's palm as bright sunlight floods the forest road. She leaves the woods and her protective stag behind to travel toward the Sterling estate with Eleanor and Clara. How will Duke Alexander and the rest of the household react when Eleanor arrives with a magical orphan girl?
