Evie Green introduces herself as a whisper-witch while riding a giant stag. When poachers shoot the animal, Evie knocks them out with magic and heals the stag's wound. She tries to return a dropped toy to a village boy, but his parents push her away and call her a jinx. Nearby, Duchess Eleanor Sterling searches for the witch to cure her son, crashes into a tree, and Evie discovers her unconscious body.

00:00: Poachers Attack Evie and Her Stag
Evie Green rides through the forest on the back of a giant stag. She calls herself a whisper-witch. Suddenly, Buck and another poacher fire at the stag and wound it. Buck points his shotgun directly at Evie and orders her away.
00:50: Evie Summons Magic and Heals Stag
Evie refuses to back down against the poachers. She summons a small storm cloud and causes a falling nut to hit Buck and knock the men out cold. Evie then places her palm over the injured stag, emitting golden magic to heal its wound.
01:40: Villagers Reject Evie as a Jinx
Evie walks along a trail and picks up a dropped teddy bear to return it to a young village boy. Instead of thanking her, Mary Smith slaps the toy away. Leo Smith spits near Evie's feet and curses her as a dangerous jinx.
02:42: Eleanor Sterling Crashes Her Car
Duchess Eleanor Sterling speeds down the narrow forest road in her car. She desperately searches for the miraculous witch to save her sick son. Eleanor loses control of the steering wheel on a turn and crashes violently straight into a massive tree.
02:51: Evie Discovers the Crash Site
Evie hears the loud impact from deep in the woods. She rushes toward the road to see what happened. Smoke pours from the ruined vehicle. Through the bushes, Evie spots Eleanor lying motionless and injured on the ground beside the vehicle.

How episode 1 ends

Evie parts the bushes and gasps as she spots Duchess Eleanor lying bloody and unconscious beside the smoking car wreckage. Eleanor came seeking a miracle for her dying child, but she is now critically wounded herself. Will Evie use her golden healing magic to rescue the Duchess, or will the villagers' harsh warnings keep her from stepping forward?
