Brann prepares to kill Astrid, Leif, and Runa for touching an armed soldier. A stern-looking man steps between them immediately. He commands Brann to walk away from the family and tells Astrid to take her children straight home.

Ten years pass across the realm. Ivar travels aboard a boat while holding a medallion in his hand. He reflects quietly on a decade of bloody fighting that stole all the memories of his past life and his beloved family.
00:45: Ivar Tames the Beasts
Ivar battles a dragon-like monster on the battlefield. A wolf, a bear, and a second wolf suddenly surround him on the ground. Instead of striking them down, Ivar issues calm commands to the wild animals in an unknown tongue.
01:23: Audience with King Bjorn
Dressed in his Beast Commander uniform, Ivar kneels before King Bjorn in the throne room. King Bjorn offers him vast lands and riches. Ivar explains that the war erased his family's faces, and the king permits him to seek them.
