Trapped under snow in a deep crevasse, Aurora shields her stomach and whispers an apology to her baby. Above her, Vincent, Selena, and her parents arrive and call her name. Snow in Aurora's throat blocks her cries. Vincent assumes she lied about the avalanche and decides to leave so Selena stays warm. Her parents follow him. Aurora uses her remaining strength to strike a metal rack against the ice, sending a loud ring through the snow.

Vincent scoffs when no one answers his call. He tells the family Aurora fabricated the avalanche and bleeding to get attention. Her mother and father join in to criticize her, while Selena remarks on Aurora's dramatic behavior.

Vincent worries Selena will catch a cold in the freezing air, so he and the parents turn around to leave. Under the ice, Aurora uses her final bit of energy to hit a metal rack against the cavern wall.
01:54: A Clang Halts Vincent
The sharp sound of metal striking ice rings out across the quiet snowfield. Vincent freezes where he stands. He stops walking away, turns his body back toward the slope, and tries to identify the unexpected noise beneath the snow.
