Aurora Moretti
Vincent's pregnant wife
Aurora faces extreme physical peril in the Sierra Nevada after an avalanche traps her in a crevasse. Abandoned by her husband and family, she endures severe bleeding and hypothermia. She abandons all pride, offering to give up her marriage and social standing if someone will save her unborn child. Her fight becomes entirely about keeping her baby alive.
Vincent Ricci
Mafia boss and Aurora's husband
Vincent wields authority as a mafia don but displays total blindness toward his household. He prioritizes Selena's comfort over his wife's survival. When Aurora calls in genuine agony, Vincent views her distress as manipulation. Even when he sees blood on camera, he lets Selena sway his judgment, repeatedly walking away when decisive action is needed.
Selena
Aurora's manipulative stepsister
Selena uses feigned weakness to control Vincent and Aurora's parents. She never confronts Aurora directly. Instead, she coughs, questions the authenticity of Aurora's blood, and distracts the family with trivial requests like seafood soup. By maintaining an innocent facade, she ensures Aurora remains isolated in the snow without rescue.
Mother
Mother of Aurora and Selena
The matriarch of the family shows complete partiality toward Selena. She dismisses Aurora's cries for help as tantrums and treats her pregnancy as an emotional weapon. Rather than investigating her daughter's emergency, she hangs up phone calls to cater to Selena's whims, choosing comfortable domestic peace over Aurora's life.
Father
Father of Aurora and Selena
The father briefly shows concern by asking for Aurora's location, but Selena's subtle interference quickly sways him. He adopts a callous attitude, suggesting Aurora should stew outside in the cold for several days. His refusal to look past Selena's stories leaves Aurora completely stranded in the freezing crevasse.
