Episode 2 · Lily, Kane, Bryce
Lily tries to defend herself in the hallway with a cross, but it turns to dust. She shoots at Kane, yet the bullet floats away inside a bubble. Kane picks her up over his shoulder and stares at Bryce through the door. In a quiet bedroom, Kane cleans Lily's face with a wet rag. A brief flashback features him waking in agony on shattered ground. Lily awakens, and Kane strokes her face tenderly.
Lily holds up a cross to fend off Kane, but the object turns to ash. She then fires her handgun directly at him. Kane catches the flying bullet within a floating bubble that drifts away without harming him.
Lily drops to the floor in panic. Kane walks over and hoists her onto his shoulder. As Lily yells to be let down, Kane glares into the classroom where Bryce and the other students cower behind the door.
Kane brings Lily into a dimly lit bedroom and places her on the bed. He cleans her face with a damp cloth. A brief flashback depicts him waking in agony on broken ground with dark tendrils swirling around him.
Lily opens her eyes on the bed, trembling with fear. Kane sits right beside her in the quiet room. He slowly touches her cheek and tells her that he has finally found his love.
“Stay back! I'll shoot!”
“No! Put me down! Put me down!”
“He's looking at us!”
“My love, I finally found you.”
Lily wakes up terrified in an unfamiliar bedroom while Kane sits beside her and caresses her cheek. Instead of attacking her, he speaks softly and calls her his love. Why does this supernatural entity treat Lily with such affection, and what does he plan to do with her now?
