Episode 3 · Rory, Joey, Phoebe
Rory stops at the company entrance and asks the security guard about the girl from the photo. The guard tells her the woman is Phoebe, an outspoken intern. Walking inside with her thermos, Rory overhears Phoebe mocking Joey's wife to a coworker in the break room. Rory steps inside and confronts her. Phoebe greets her smugly and dismisses the dented lid on the thermos, laughing off the damage as an unimportant expense.
Outside the company entrance, Rory speaks with the building security guard. She asks him to identify the girl she saw. The guard explains that her name is Phoebe and adds that she is an outspoken new intern at Joey's firm.
Rory walks down the first-floor hallway holding a thermos. She stops outside the break room door. From inside, Phoebe loudly ridicules Joey's wife to another coworker, boasting that the woman has nothing better to do than stew soup all day.
Rory pushes the break room door open to face Phoebe. Phoebe greets her with a condescending tone. When Rory spots the dented lid on her thermos, Phoebe shrugs off the damage and refuses to treat the incident with any seriousness.
“Besides Joey says says she's got nothing better to do at home stewing soup is all she's good for”
“You must be the boss's wife, right?”
“who did this”
“how expensive could it be it's just a thermos”
Phoebe scoffs that it is just an inexpensive thermos. Rory grips the damaged container tightly in silence, holding back her anger in the middle of the break room. Will Rory lose her temper and expose Phoebe right here, or will Joey step in before the confrontation escalates further?
