Pregnant Rory delivers soup to Joey at work and walks home. On the street, she reads a social media post that calls her an old woman. Joey comes home smelling like osmanthus flowers. When Rory asks if he liked the pork rib and yam soup, Joey praises it, but she actually cooked crucian carp soup. Rory spots lipstick on his cuff. Later, she unlocks his phone and reads flirtatious messages from another woman.
Pregnant Rory walks down the street after dropping off lunch for her husband. She opens social media and spots a mean update. The post mocks the professor's wife for delivering soup and refers to her as an old woman.
Joey walks into the house carrying a scent of osmanthus. Rory asks if he enjoyed the pork rib and yam soup, and he calls it delicious. She prepared crucian carp instead. Rory sees lipstick on his cuff and pulls away.
Joey steps into the bathroom to shower. Rory picks up his phone, enters her birthday, and opens his messages. A pinned contact mentions drinking the soup. Joey promises in his reply that his wife will cook more for her tomorrow.
“Did you like the pork rib and yam soup I made today?”
“Everything you make is delicious sweetheart”
“Rory, what's wrong with you today?”
Rory stands alone in the bedroom while Joey showers. She reads a message where Joey tells his mistress that his wife always listens to him. Rory starts gagging with nausea and begins to cry. How will Rory handle Joey once he steps out of the bathroom, and will she confront him about the messages?
