James remembers his past mistake of saving a pet while Sophia was crushed by debris. When Charlotte demands that he rescue Ella's dog from the burning mansion, James yells his daughter's name and runs inside. Outside, Charlotte and the crowd assume he chose the animal, and Ella mocks Sophia. Inside the blazing house, an injured Sophia fears her father has abandoned her, but James suddenly bursts through the smoke to reach her.

00:00: James Remembers His Past Regret
James remembers his past life outside the burning building. In that past, his delay to save an animal caused falling debris to crush Sophia. He vows out loud that he will never abandon his daughter for an animal again.
00:19: James Charges Into the Fire
Charlotte stands outside the burning mansion and urges James to run inside to save Ella's pet. James ignores her demand completely. He screams Sophie's name at the top of his lungs and runs directly into the flames to find his daughter.
00:28: The Crowd Misunderstands James
Charlotte smiles smugly because she assumes James entered the fire for the dog. Bystanders in the crowd gossip among themselves about a father risking his life for a pet. Ella loudly declares that her dog matters more than Sophia Smith.
00:48: Sophia Weeps Inside the Flames
Sophia lies injured on the floor surrounded by smoke, weeping and calling for her father. She spots Ella's dog nearby and remembers Ella taunting her about James preferring the pet. Sophia breaks down in despair, believing her father will not save her.
01:03: James Reaches His Daughter
James bursts through the heavy smoke and roaring flames, shouting Sophie's name. Sophia looks up from the floor in pure disbelief when she hears him calling. Seeing her father standing before her in the fire, she cries out to him.
