Carlisle inspects Evelyn for wounds among the ruined buildings. He heaves a heavy concrete slab off a trapped girl. Evelyn lifts the child and returns her to her weeping mother while grateful local residents bow to them in the street.

Carlisle grabs Evelyn by the arm and furiously demands to know why she risked her life. When an insectoid swoops toward them, Evelyn calmly aims her blaster and shoots it dead, stating she is not an ornament who needs protection.

The remaining alien beasts activate their targeting vision and focus directly on Evelyn before flying away. Carlisle watches them depart and tells Evelyn that the swarm did not strike Gray Ring by accident, but came specifically to capture her.

How episode 7 ends

Carlisle tracks the regrouping alien swarm on the star map as it threatens nearby civilian routes. Because House Wayne representatives are forbidden from entering Crimson Scales territory, Carlisle cannot make contact himself. Evelyn volunteers to go alone. Will the hostile Crimson Scales grant Evelyn an audience, or will she walk straight into an ambush?
