Alien pods rain down on planet K-17 as a swarm heads toward the crashed ship. Carlisle leads his cloaked fighters into combat against the creatures. When bullets bounce off a giant armored beast, Carlisle shoots directly into its open mouth to destroy it. After wiping out the swarm, his men harvest the carcasses for supplies. Carlisle pulls Evelyn from the wreckage and drops her in the truck bed, where she wakes up beside the dead monsters.

Episode 2 scene by scene

00:00: Attack of the Swarm
Pods drop from the sky across the desert of K-17, releasing insectoids near the crash site. Carlisle leads his cloaked squad into the wasteland. They march forward rapidly to intercept the creatures before the monsters reach the wreckage.
00:24: Slaying the Armored Beast
Flying insectoids attack Carlisle and his squad. A subordinate reports that standard ammunition cannot pierce a massive beast's armor. Carlisle waits for the monster to scream, fires straight down its throat to kill it, and cleans up the remaining creatures.
01:50: Gathering Fuel and Cargo
The squad harvests the dead alien bodies to collect venom and fuel for trade. Carlisle walks over to the smoking wreckage. He lifts an unconscious Evelyn from the debris and tosses her into the open truck bed alongside the dead insectoids.
02:15: Awakening in the Truck Bed
The convoy speeds across the barren desert sands. Evelyn stirs in the back of the moving truck and opens her eyes. Covered in dirt, she looks around and gasps in horror at the pile of dead alien monsters around her.

Evelyn wakes up trapped in the bouncing cargo bed of a speeding truck. She finds herself covered in grime and pinned between piles of slaughtered insectoids. Carlisle keeps driving through the desert toward his settlement. Will Evelyn realize Carlisle saved her life, or will she treat her armed rescuer as another dangerous enemy on K-17?
