Avery hears students talking about Julian Hayes arriving on campus and worries he will recognize her posture from their shoot. Outside, Chloe brags about family ties to Julian. A heavy lighting stand topples toward Julian, but Avery pulls him away. Julian asks for Avery's name and height, ignoring Chloe's modeling pitch. When Julian asks if they met in Paris, Avery denies it and walks away to meet Ryan.
A male student in the hallway spreads news that celebrity photographer Julian Hayes has arrived at school. Avery overhears the conversation and worries that Julian might recognize her physique or posture from AVA's black veil photoshoot.
Chloe stands on the school courtyard steps with a female student. Chloe boasts that her father knows people at Maison Veyra and Julian Hayes. Below them, Julian Hayes unloads his photography equipment from his car.
A heavy lighting stand topples toward Julian in the courtyard. Avery reacts swiftly and pulls him out of harm's way just in time. Julian observes Avery's rapid reflexes and physical proportions, asking for her name and height.
Chloe steps in to pitch herself as a model, but Julian ignores her completely. Julian asks Avery if they met before in Paris. Avery denies it immediately, checks a text message from Ryan, and walks away from the scene.
“Fast reflexes.”
“Have we met before?”
“Paris?”
“Never been.”
Julian presses Avery about whether they met during his work in Paris. Avery insists she has never been there and walks away after receiving a text from Ryan asking to meet behind the gym. Will Julian continue tracking down Avery's real identity, and what will Avery discover when she meets Ryan behind the gym?
