Brenda guides Carlo and Ruby through the grand hall and deliberately walks across Lana's dress train. Lana catches Brenda digging her fingers into Carlo. Brenda laughs off the accusation, so Lana pulls a firearm from underneath her skirt and aims straight at Brenda's head. An intimidated Carlo denies the abuse. Lana puts the weapon away and crouches down. After Ruby asks about her maternal role, Lana vows to stand by both children.

00:00: Brenda Steps on the Gown
Brenda walks forward in the grand estate hall alongside Ronan's two young children. As she passes, she purposefully plants her foot onto the long train of Lana's velvet wedding dress, trying to provoke a reaction from the bride right away.
00:17: Lana Draws Her Hidden Weapon
Lana calmly asks Brenda why she secretly pinched Carlo. Brenda brushes off the question with a dismissive chuckle and denies it. Lana instantly reaches under her wedding skirt, retrieves a concealed gun, and places the barrel directly against Brenda's temple.
00:42: Carlo Defends Brenda Out of Fear
Lana asks Carlo directly whether Brenda hurt him. Frightened of future retaliation, the young boy insists Brenda did nothing wrong to him. Lana immediately slides her firearm back into its thigh holster and drops to her knees in front of the kids.
01:07: A Vow to Ronan's Children
Ruby asks Lana if she is genuinely their new mother now. The question sparks a sudden memory for Lana of trying to appease her abusive stepmother Denise during childhood. Lana takes the children's hands and swears she will defend them against everyone.
