Elaine wakes up beside Carl after their night together and flees the outpost hut at daybreak. She hurries home, where Jack Moore and Gia are in her bed. Elaine's mother sits tied to a chair and falls headfirst onto the stone floor. When Elaine confronts them, she slaps Gia for taunting her. Jack throws Elaine down, and Gia grinds a boot into her face. The pair leaves Elaine weeping beside her bleeding, unconscious mother.

00:00: Fleeing the Outpost Hut at Dawn
Elaine spends the night with Carl in the outpost hut. At daybreak, she wakes up in alarm. She puts her clothes back on as fast as she can and runs outside while Carl remains fast asleep in bed.
00:43: Betrayal in Elaine's Home
Inside Elaine's home, Jack Moore and Gia sleep together in Elaine's bed. Elaine's mother is tied up in a chair in the room. The mother struggles against the ropes, tips over, and smashes her head against the hard stone floor.
01:08: Violent Clash on the Floor
Elaine walks in and sees the betrayal. Gia mocks Elaine's marks and status, so Elaine slaps her across the face. Jack slams Elaine to the stone floor. Gia presses her boot into Elaine's face before she and Jack walk out.
02:05: Sobbing Over a Dying Mother
Elaine crawls across the room to reach her mother. The older woman lies bound, unconscious, and bleeding from the head with foam spilling from her mouth. Elaine clutches her helpless mother to her chest and sobs aloud in sheer grief.

How episode 2 ends

Elaine sits alone on the stone floor, weeping and cradling her disabled mother in her arms. Her mother remains completely unresponsive, bleeding from the head and foaming at the mouth. Will Elaine find a way to get help and save her mother's life before it is too late, or will Gia and Jack crush her completely?
