The horned elder orders the guards to seize Lyra, while the head maid calls her a liar. Rory's glowing thought-form defends Lyra and threatens the servants. As guards rush forward, Dorian drops into the hall in his massive black dragon form. The elder blames Lyra for Rory's distress, but Lyra asks Dorian for one minute to remove a wooden spike from the baby's mouth. Dorian traps the elder beneath his claw and grants her request.

The horned elder instructs the guards to drag Lyra away, claiming she drove the young lord mad. Lyra insists the baby suffers from physical pain. A horned head maid steps forward and accuses Lyra of lying about a blood curse.
00:11: Rory's Spirit Defends Lyra
Rory projects a glowing spirit thought-form over the hall. The infant spirit calls the surrounding adults dummies. He warns that he will bite anyone who dares to touch Lyra, whom he calls the pretty lady who is fixing his mouth.
00:21: The Sovereign Arrives
Citadel guards rush toward Lyra to take the dragon hatchling from her arms. Before they can reach her, Dorian drops from the ceiling above. He lands heavily on the floor in the form of a giant black dragon.
00:30: Lyra Pleads with Dorian
The horned elder bows down in terror and claims Lyra caused the young lord's frenzy. Lyra looks directly at Dorian instead. She explains that a wooden spike is stuck in his son's gums and asks for one minute to help him.
00:46: Dorian Demands Proof
Dorian slams his massive black claw into the stone floor, trapping the elder underneath. He orders Lyra to prove her claim. Lyra strokes Rory's horns to keep him calm and asks him to open his mouth wide.
