Fallon uses a magical communication device to call her father Declan. The Alpha King weeps and tells her to return home with Knox immediately. She gets ready to leave, but Knox talks in his sleep about a promise from Kellan. Fallon chooses to stay for two more days until Knox's fifth birthday. Before sunrise, warriors sent by Vivian force their way inside and drag both of them to the main pack house.

    Fallon activates a magical communication device inside her room to contact her father, Declan. The Alpha King of Northfall breaks down in tears during their conversation. He demands that Fallon bring his young grandson Knox straight home without delay.

    Fallon prepares to depart the cabin with her packed bags. She stops walking when Knox mutters about Kellan's promise in his sleep. Fallon changes her plan and stays two more days so Knox can experience his fifth birthday without regrets.

    Pack warriors sent by Kellan's mother Vivian bang loudly on the cabin door before dawn breaks. The guards force their way inside the room. They grab Fallon and Knox and haul them away toward the main Emberfang pack house.
