At a Catfolk settlement bonfire, villagers celebrate while Ella looks on. Naira walks up to Kane and whispers in the Catfolk tongue that she carries his baby. Ella understands her words because she studied the language in secret. She remembers rebuilding the village with Kane after an earthquake and their wedding. Kane walks over with Naira and tells Ella to patrol alone tomorrow. Naira mocks Ella by thanking her for borrowing Kane.
