Episode 1 · Sawyer, Ezra, Lillian
Sawyer wakes up drenched in water, handcuffed to a hotel bed. He remembers drinking a spiked beverage from a guest at a gala. His captor gags him with a necktie and pulls out a whip. Suddenly, mafia don Ezra walks into the room with armed guards and a cigar. The captor drops the whip in terror. When Sawyer yells about being kidnapped, the captor shoves him onto his knees before Ezra.
Sawyer wakes up wet and cold in a hotel bedroom. Metal handcuffs secure his wrists above the headboard. Across the mattress, a captor stands over him and gets ready to attack.
Sawyer flashes back to the gala party earlier that evening. He arrives dressed in a white suit. A gala guest hands him a spiked drink, and the drug quickly knocks him unconscious.
Back in the bedroom, the captor silences Sawyer by gagging him with a necktie. The man then pulls out a whip, telling Sawyer that he paid money for him and now owns him for the night.
Ezra enters the hotel room smoking a cigar, flanked by armed bodyguards. The captor immediately recognizes the mafia don. Terrified, the man drops his whip onto the floor and begs Ezra for mercy.
Ezra gives the captor three seconds to leave. The captor uncuffs Sawyer to take him away, but Sawyer shouts that this is kidnapping. In response, the captor throws Sawyer onto his knees before Ezra.
“Cut the crap! I paid good money for you. You belong to me tonight.”
“This is my turf. You know exactly who I am.”
“Three seconds. Get out.”
“This is straight up kidnapping! I never agreed to any of this!”
The captor forces Sawyer onto his knees on the bedroom floor for speaking out against the don. Ezra does not say a word, calmly smoking his cigar as he stares down at Sawyer. Will Ezra let the buyer take Sawyer away, or does the mafia boss have other plans for him?
