Episode 2 · Stella, Mark, Dane
Stella returns to the dining table after overhearing Dane in the hallway. She finds Brianna browsing through Mark's phone. When Stella challenges her, Mark defends Brianna and tells Stella to drop it. Dane comes back to the table with a flushed face. Outside, Mark goes to pay the bill while Stella shivers in the wind. Dane puts his jacket on Stella, and Mark walks out and confronts him.
Stella stands frozen in the hallway outside the restroom. She wonders if the words she just overheard from Dane were directed at her. Without saying anything, she slips quietly past the wall and walks back toward the dining area.
Stella reaches the table and catches Brianna looking through Mark's phone. When Stella questions her lack of boundaries, Mark protects Brianna and dismisses Stella's complaint. Dane walks back to the table with red cheeks and glances over at Stella.
While Mark remains inside paying the restaurant bill, Stella shivers outside in the cold night breeze. Dane removes his jacket and drapes it across her shoulders. Mark walks out onto the sidewalk, spots them together, and immediately confronts Dane.
“There aren't many girls in his phone. But shouldn't you ask his actual girlfriend before checking his phone?”
“Don't make a big deal out of it, Stella.”
“You just shivered.”
“Dane, what are you doing?”
Mark walks out of the restaurant after paying the bill and catches Dane draping his warm jacket over Stella's shoulders on the windy sidewalk. Mark steps forward and directly demands to know what Dane is doing with his girlfriend. How will Dane respond to Mark's confrontation, and will Stella let Mark take control of the situation?
