Episode 8 · 20 episodes · Taylor, Ethan, Lexi
College move-in morning arrives in New York. Ethan opens his eyes in bed next to Lexi, who is still asleep. He grabs his smartphone and scrolls through older chat logs with Taylor from the summer. Expecting Taylor to fly into the city today, he types out an offer to meet her. The message immediately fails to send. He dials her digits instead, only to hear a carrier recording.
Ethan wakes up in bed on college move-in day. Lexi is asleep beside him. He reaches over for his phone and reads past messages from Taylor, remembering her excited voice notes about arriving in New York.
Ethan assumes Taylor is landing at the airport today. He types a text message offering to pick her up. When he taps send, an alert pops up indicating delivery failure. Taylor has blocked his number.
Ethan decides to call Taylor directly from his phone. Instead of ringing, the line immediately cuts to an automated operator message stating the number is unavailable. Ethan stares at the screen after finding out his calls are blocked.
“Ethan! I'm finally coming to New York to find you!”
“Babe, are you at the airport yet? I'll come get you.”
“The number you are trying to reach is unavailable.”
Ethan sits on the edge of the bed in stunned silence, holding his phone while Lexi sleeps beside him. He realizes Taylor has severed every connection and shut him out completely. How will Ethan react when he discovers why Taylor walked away, and what will Lexi do next?
