Inside the equipment room, Kieran Ashford holds Tessa Hart's hands and listens to her memory. Tessa recounts pulling a drowning boy from a frozen lake at age five. Kieran pulls out an old silver tag engraved with Tessa's name. He states that he was that boy. Kieran embraces Tessa and kisses her against the storage rack. A woman knocks outside and summons Tessa to Dean Carter at the health center.

A flashback recounts Kieran's past thirteen years ago. After his mother died, the Ashfords took him in. He fell into the frozen lake, picked up Tessa's dropped silver tag after the rescue, and was sent away to Europe that very night.

Kieran steps forward and backs Tessa against the metal storage shelves. He confesses his feelings and wraps his arms around her to comfort her insecurities. Ignoring her official role as Julian Ashford's fiancée, Kieran pulls Tessa close and kisses her.
03:25: Interrupted By A Sudden Knock
A female voice calls out from the hallway outside the equipment room door. She asks if Tessa is inside and demands she visit Dean Carter at the health center immediately. The knock interrupts their kiss, and they look at each other.
