Who is who in THE HUSBAND SHE DISCARDED IS THE WINTER DRAGON, and how they are connected.

Killian
The Winter Dragon
Killian is the kingdom's greatest warrior. He gave up immediate status and accepted a week without his dragon form just to see his wife early. He keeps his temper until people attack defenseless villagers or abuse his family, relying on raw swordplay to shield them while his royal wealth catches up.
Ingrid Frostburn
Polar Bear Guardian
Ingrid protects Evergreen Village by shifting into a massive armored polar bear. Hostile outsiders surround her land, convincing her that a penniless nomad cannot keep her child safe. She stages a marriage tournament and forces a painful divorce, hiding her tears and Killian's paternity behind a wall of cold fury.
Hans
Snow Lion Guardian
Hans is an arrogant suitor who stalks Ingrid and treats her like a prize. He uses Killian's apparent poverty to humiliate him publicly. Hans assumes brute force will secure his wedding, going so far as to trap Ingrid in her own cabin when words fail him.
Morag
Hostile Villager
Morag acts with pure spite toward Killian and his family. She laughs at his return, hides the truth about the little girl, and deliberately points him away from discovering his daughter. She even stands by the door and chuckles while Hans corners Ingrid in the cottage.
Donald
Hostile Nobleman
Donald aligns himself with the suitors competing for Ingrid. He shows his cruel nature by invading Killian's elderly parents' home, delivering the news of the divorce with relish, and shattering their bowl of precious sugar on the floor to mock their poverty.

Story so far

A warrior trades all his royal rewards just to go home seven days early, only to get discarded at the city gates. That brutal setup drives THE HUSBAND SHE DISCARDED IS THE WINTER DRAGON. Killian freezes an entire enemy army, asks his king for nothing except an early release, and accepts a crippling condition: he cannot summon his dragon form for a whole week. He expects a loving reunion. Instead, he walks into Evergreen Village to find his wife Ingrid demanding an immediate divorce and staging an open contest to replace him.

At first glance, Ingrid looks heartless. She insults him in front of sneering neighbors, knocks away his memories, and shifts into a giant crowned polar bear to chase him out of town. But the power dynamic here is built on silence. Ingrid hides a five-year-old daughter Killian never knew lived. With vicious outsiders closing in on their borders, she believes only a proven guardian can keep that child alive. She breaks her own heart to push Killian away because she thinks he returned as a penniless nomad.

The village around them stinks of petty cruelty. Hans tries to buy and bully his way into Ingrid's home, Morag mocks Killian's poverty, and a nobleman named Donald goes out of his way to shatter the sugar Killian's aging parents saved for a homecoming cake. Killian has to swallow every insult without his ultimate weapon. He relies solely on martial grit while a caravan of gold and enchanted weapons races through the snow toward him.

THE HUSBAND SHE DISCARDED IS THE WINTER DRAGON episode guide

EP 1: A King's Bargain
Killian transforms into the Winter Dragon and freezes Rancor's monster army solid. Standing before the King of the Midnight Sun, he declines land and riches. He asks only to return home a week early to his wife. The King agrees on one condition: Killian cannot use his dragon form for seven days.
EP 2: Welcome to Evergreen
Killian enters Evergreen Village and offers Ingrid a promised Snowfrost orchid. Hans slaps the flower away while Morag mocks Killian's poverty. Desperate to protect the town from invading outsiders, Ingrid refuses to rely on a nomad. When Killian chokes Hans during an argument, Ingrid steps between them and demands a divorce.
EP 3: The Polar Bear's Grief
Ingrid announces that any suitor must defeat the strongest village guardian to claim her hand. She transforms into a massive crowned polar bear and drives Killian away. Once he departs, she weeps openly. A friend reminds her this harsh choice protects the secret five-year-old daughter Killian does not know exists.
EP 4: Blade in the Garden
Killian recalls leaving Ingrid years ago, when he swore death could not keep them apart. In the present, he spots pale outsiders charging toward Ingrid's cottage. A young girl tends flowers outside the fence. Killian arrives just in time, parrying an attacker's lethal strike with a glowing ice blade.
EP 5: A Child's Claim
Killian dispatches the attackers with his bare combat skills, standing over the young girl to keep her safe. Grateful, the child shocks him by calling him her daddy. Killian freezes in disbelief. He looks down at the girl and asks her who her mother is before the screen cuts out.
EP 6: The False Mother
Morag rushes outside and orders the girl inside. Killian assumes Morag is the mother and decides the child is not his. The little girl begs him to fight monsters for them. After she leaves, Morag mocks Killian and reveals Ingrid is publicly launching the marriage contest, sending Killian sprinting toward his parents.
EP 7: Broken Sugar
Killian's parents save sugar to bake him a cake. Donald enters with Ingrid, bluntly announcing the divorce and deliberately smashing the sugar bowl on the floor. Killian confronts Ingrid outside, then comforts his weeping parents with promises of wealth while a reindeer caravan carrying his royal tribute races through the snow.
EP 8: Cabin Breach
Maya falls asleep praising the brave fighter she met, while Ingrid silently weeps for Killian. Hans breaks inside to assault Ingrid while Morag laughs from the open doorway. Killian blows the cabin door to splinters, his eyes glowing icy blue as he hoists Hans into the air by the throat.
