Episode 6 · Soraya, Calum, Rose
Soraya walks through the Montclair Group hallway carrying a box of her things. She bumps into her daughter, Sage, who tells her to leave so Calum will stop being angry. In the open office, coworkers mock Soraya. She pulls out the USB drive holding her core code and quits. Soraya then steps into Calum’s office, sees him embracing Rose, and uses a remote to open the blinds to expose them.
Soraya carries a box of personal items through the hallway and accidentally bumps into Sage. Books and a family photograph tumble onto the floor. Sage repeats Rose's harsh insults and tells her mother to go away so Calum will not be mad.
Colleagues mock Soraya and compare her to Rose as she walks across the open office floor. Soraya unplugs a USB drive storing her core software code. She announces her immediate resignation and leaves the staff to manage the ten-billion-dollar merger alone.
Soraya enters the executive suite and finds Calum embracing Rose, whose shirt is partially undone. Calum yells at Soraya to leave. Instead of obeying his orders, Soraya grabs a remote control and lifts the blinds, displaying them to the entire floor.
“Then go already, Mommy, so Daddy won't be mad anymore! Plus Aunt Rose says we can clear out your little office for all her pretty clothes!”
“I'm done carrying this company. I quit.”
“Who the hell let you barge in here? Get out!”
The office blinds roll all the way up, leaving Calum and Rose trapped in their embrace right before the shocked staff. With Soraya gone and the core technology drive in her hands, how will Calum handle the fallout of this public humiliation and save his ten-billion-dollar merger without her software?
