Who is who in Romancing Beast Husbands, Starting at 200 Pounds, and how they are connected.
Aria
Transmigrated Imperial Princess
A modern reader trapped in the body of a notorious, overweight royal who murdered ten previous consorts. Guided by a magical system, she has to charm four hostile beastmen to survive. Aria relies on real cooking and quick wit, but the terrible reputation and dark secrets left by the previous princess constantly sabotage her efforts.
Fenrir
Wolf Beastman Husband
A proud beastman candidate who swore he would rather face exile in deep space than die by Aria's hands. He enters the estate burning with hatred and distrust. The spiked wine shatters his control completely. Giving in to the aphrodisiac, he tackles Aria in the corridor, driving his affection score upward through sheer force.
Milo
Snow Leopard Beastman Husband
One of the four consorts chosen by Aria. Milo puts on a fragile, submissive act inside Aria's private quarters, begging her not to hurt him. Underneath the obedient performance lies cold hatred. He watches her carefully, feigning loyalty while secretly plotting to slowly torture Aria to death.
Bella
Imperial Princess
Aria's younger blonde sister. Bella puts on a polite, gentle front in public while hurling insults behind closed doors. She openly despises Aria, calling her a disgusting pig. Bella expects Aria to ruin herself during the husband selection and fumes with jealousy when Aria claims all four beastmen for herself.
Grace
Queen of the Interstellar Empire
The ruler of the empire and mother to Aria and Bella. Grace oversees the husband selection ritual with absolute royal authority. She intends to force Aria to pick a single beastman, but a magical charm from Aria's system fairy prompts the Queen to hand over all four powerful candidates at once.
Story so far
A modern reader drops into the pages of a sci-fi romance and finds herself trapped in a brutal body. She now inhabits Aria, an infamous imperial princess weighing two hundred pounds. The real horror is not the weight. The original Aria beat ten beast husbands to death, earning pure hatred across the palace. To stay alive in both the fantasy world and her real body, Aria must bind herself to four powerful beastmen and get every single one of them to fall completely in love with her.
The core dynamic is pure survival under hostile eyes. Aria faces her malicious younger sister Bella and Queen Grace in the throne room, but her immediate problem sits across her own dining table. The selected beast husbands despise her on sight. Even when she destroys her torture chamber, the gesture falls flat. The men view her every move as an elaborate scheme, assuming kindness is merely a setup for slaughter. Submissive smiles hide lethal plots, shown plainly when the snow leopard Milo plays the timid pet while planning to torment her to death.
Power shifts through domestic shock tactics and magical leverage. Aria bypasses imperial sludge to cook real food, breaking down their defenses through simple meals. Yet every step forward uncovers another trap left behind by the body's previous owner. A celebratory toast turns into a riot when an ancient bottle of aphrodisiac poisons the air. The beastmen do not see a reformed royal. They see a predator who softened them up with steak before springing a trap. Aria must outmaneuver their deep distrust, her family's schemes, and the chaotic terms of her own survival system.
