Mateo
Reborn Protagonist
Mateo carries the hardened battle instincts of a fallen survivor. After watching Valeria sacrifice herself in his past life, he refuses to tolerate bullies, corrupt teachers, or personal betrayals. He uses the Primordial Beast sigil on his chest to convert cores, steadily climbing in raw power.
Valeria
Future Phoenix Empress
Valeria starts out as an abused student trapped under her family's crushing debts. She shows deep empathy and quiet courage, nursing Mateo after his beast battle and handing him his rightful core. Her true power begins surfacing when mortal danger strikes her home.
Advisor Ibáñez
Corrupt Class Advisor
Ibáñez rules her classroom through rank favoritism and physical threats. She backs elite students like Bruno while abusing unawakened teenagers. Her arrogance crumbles the moment Mateo's raw stats overwhelm her One-Sigil power, ending in her public dismissal by Principal Navarro.
Principal Navarro
School Administrator
Navarro runs Federal High with a sharp eye for authority and survival. Though initially distant, he executes orders from civil defense leaders without hesitation. He fires Ibáñez on the spot once he realizes she assaulted a talent hand-picked for protection by top officers.
Adrián
Godhunter Patrol Captain
Adrián leads civil defense operations in Alto Vista. He spots Mateo's absurd potential after reviewing the solo kill on a One-Star beast. Pragmatic and alert, he attempts to recruit Mateo with official gear while managing spatial rifts and monster incursions across the district.
Story so far
Reborn Raising My SSS-Rank Phoenix Empress Wife is built on cold pragmatism rather than soft romance. Mateo wakes up in the middle of his youth with the memory of an apocalyptic war fresh in his mind. In that former life, Valeria shattered her Crimson Flame Phoenix Sigil to destroy a colossal monster for humanity, dying alongside him. Meanwhile, the girl he once pursued, Camila, used him as a human shield. Returning to the day before his awakening, Mateo does not waste time wallowing in regret. He tears up his confession letter to Camila, cuts her off entirely, and sprints to save Valeria from being sold off by her abusive father.
The dynamic shifts instantly from high school melodrama to high-stakes urban survival. Mateo's primary motivation is securing his bond with Valeria, the future SSS-rank Phoenix Empress, while growing strong enough to withstand the incoming apocalypse. Valeria begins the story beaten down by her home life, unaware of the immense power sleeping inside her. Her relationship with Mateo turns on mutual survival. Mateo offers violent protection and loyalty; Valeria responds with quiet trust, handing him the Beast Core that jumpstarts his growth.
Power dynamics invert just as quickly in the classroom. Mateo's refusal to play by institutional rules brings him into direct conflict with class representative Bruno and Advisor Ibáñez. Both rely on school hierarchy and official awakened status to crush unawakened students. Mateo disregards both, meeting verbal threats with brutal physical counterattacks. When Principal Navarro intervenes on orders from the Civil Defense Godhunter Team, the balance tilts entirely in Mateo's favor.

Realizing Valeria is absent because her father plans to sell her, Mateo dashes out, only for Bruno to block his path.
EP 2: Defying Authority
Mateo drops Bruno with a knee strike. When Advisor Ibáñez demands a ten-thousand-word apology essay, Mateo insults her and leaves. He races through the streets to Valeria's apartment. Shards of glass shatter from an upstairs window as her father screams violent threats, prompting Mateo to charge up the stairs.
EP 3: Rift in the West District
Mateo storms into the apartment and knocks Valeria's violent father unconscious. He escorts Valeria and her mother, Elena, toward temporary safety. As they reach the street, sirens announce an emergency spatial rift in the West District. Mateo realizes with dread that the invading beast wave has arrived ahead of schedule.
EP 4: Iron Pipe Stand
A giant sewer rat kills Valeria's father. Mateo tells Valeria and Elena to run while another beast blocks the path. Armed only with an iron pipe, Mateo suffers severe bite wounds before driving the metal into the rat's throat. He collapses just as Diego Ramos and his patrol squad reach the scene.
EP 5: Awakening the Sigil
Mateo wakes after a full day of recovery. Valeria delivers the Beast Core taken from his kill. Alone, Mateo discovers the sigil of the Ten-Star Crimson-Eyed Primordial Beast on his chest. He converts the core into raw stats, tripling his strength and unlocking the Eye of Insight ability.
EP 6: Targeted Talent
Captain Vega orders Principal Navarro to quietly protect Mateo after reviewing his solo beast kill. Mateo returns to school alongside Valeria, fully healed. In class, he refuses to write an apology that twists the truth. The furious female teacher channels glowing energy into her hands to strike him down.
EP 7: Eye of Insight
Mateo catches the teacher's glowing claw attack bare-handed. Using the Eye of Insight, he analyzes her lower stats and deflects her punches with ease. Mateo snaps a wooden broom over his knee. When Ibáñez lunges in a fury, Mateo drives her to the ground with the broken stick.
EP 8: The Principal Steps In
Mateo holds the jagged wooden stake against Ibáñez's throat while she threatens expulsion and official blacklisting. Valeria begs Mateo to stop. Principal Navarro rushes inside. Instead of reprimanding Mateo, the principal slaps Ibáñez across the face for attacking the student Captain Vegapunk ordered him to guard.
EP 9: Shadowed Steps
Principal Navarro fires Ibáñez immediately and has security drag her away. The principal formally apologizes to Mateo, raising Valeria's suspicions. Later that evening, Mateo walks Valeria safely home. Strolling through a dark alleyway alone, Mateo stops and calls out the stalker who has been trailing him all day.
EP 10: Flames of the Phoenix
Adrián reveals himself, praising Mateo's combat instincts and handing him a Godhunter communicator. Moments later, an explosion tears through Valeria's apartment.
