Episode 4 · Aitana, Carlos, Eduardo
Aitana leaves the banquet table and runs to her room for water. Carlos slips inside ahead of her and waits. He lifts Aitana onto the counter and uses his touch to heal the cut on her thigh. He demands that she leave Eduardo, then kisses her. Aitana protests his identity, but Carlos claims her. Outside, Eduardo turns the doorknob while Carlos silences Aitana.
Aitana feels overwhelmed during the banquet. She excuses herself from the table to head back to her room. Eduardo asks what is wrong with her, but Carlos sits quietly and watches her walk away into the hall.
Aitana hurries into her private room and grabs a glass of water. She turns around and discovers Carlos sitting in the room. He was already inside waiting for her to arrive alone.
Carlos lifts Aitana onto the counter. He pushes her clothing aside to reveal the deep cut on her thigh. Carlos lays his hands on the skin and uses magic to heal the injury immediately.
Carlos looks at Aitana and says Eduardo does not care about her suffering. He directly commands her to break things off with his son. Carlos pulls her close and gives her a deep kiss.
Aitana objects and mentions that he is Eduardo's father. Carlos reminds her of the previous night by the lake, where she asked him for a mark. He tells her she is his fated mate.
Carlos senses his son walking down the hallway toward the room. Eduardo stops outside, calls Aitana's name, and turns the handle. Carlos traps Aitana against the counter and clamps his hand over her mouth.
“Baby girl, hiding your pain doesn't make you a good girl.”
“Clearly, Eduardo isn't that man. Leave him.”
“Are you insane? You're Eduardo's father!”
“You're my fated mate. No one gets to take you from me, not even my son.”
“Aitana? Are you in there? I'm coming in.”
Carlos holds Aitana firmly against the counter with his hand clamped over her mouth so she cannot make a sound. Eduardo turns the doorknob and begins stepping into the bedroom. Will Eduardo catch his father and his girlfriend together in the room, or will Carlos find a way to stay hidden?
