Episode 3 · Ava Peach, Leo, Nora
Nora thinks back to the garden where she handed Ava Peach a red rose and confessed her feelings. In the present courtyard, Leo drops to one knee with a golden blossom and asks Ava out. Nora rushes over to object, but Leo tells her to back off. Ava accepts Leo's gift and hugs him. Leo taunts Nora, who prepares to discard her flower, while he records Ava as an accepted target.
Nora holds a red rose in the garden. She speaks directly to Ava Peach and confesses her feelings, admitting that she likes her. Nora stays focused on Ava, sharing her private affection through the simple gift of a flower.
Onlookers cheer as Leo strides across the campus courtyard toward Ava Peach. He drops to one knee before her, presents an elaborate golden rose, and publicly asks Ava to be his girlfriend in front of the watching crowd.
Ava hesitates and tells Leo the request feels too sudden. Nora sprints forward and calls out to stop her friend. Leo quickly steps between them and tells Nora to step back and let Ava make her own choice.
Leo speaks to Ava, promising to bring her attention and glamour. Ava takes the golden rose from his hand and wraps her arms around him. The crowd erupts into cheers as Nora watches her friend walk into the embrace.
Leo passes Nora on the campus walkway and whispers a cruel insult directly into her ear. Ava reassures Nora that everything is fine. Nora forces herself to hide her pain and stays silent beside her friend.
Beside a garden trash bin, Leo mocks Nora for losing Ava to gold. Nora grieves being too late and prepares to discard her rose. Leo smirks, pulls out his phone, and marks Ava as an accepted target.
“Ava Peach, be my girlfriend.”
“Ava, don't!”
“Too slow little pear.”
“I was too late.”
Nora stands by the garden trash bin, ready to throw her red rose away after losing Ava to Leo. Leo watches with a smirk, brings up Ava's photograph on his phone, and changes her status to accepted target. What does Leo plan to do with Ava now that she is officially his target?
