Ethan hears the noise and tries to look inside. William blocks his brother at the door. Ethan assumes William has a secret woman, mocks him, and leaves. Back inside, Ivy teases William.
William tells Ethan that Ivy is wonderful and suggests terminating their match. Ethan scoffs and claims Ivy will make a scene if he leaves her. He insists nobody else would want her, while Ivy listens quietly from behind the bedroom door.
Hearing Ethan's cruel insults, Ivy clenches her fists in anger. Her sudden movement accidentally knocks a glass off the nightstand. The glass shatters on the floor with a loud crash, instantly grabbing Ethan's attention in the hallway.
Ethan walks toward the bedroom to investigate the noise, but William steps in front of him. Believing William has brought a woman over, Ethan makes fun of him for losing his virginity. William firmly ushers Ethan out of the penthouse.
William walks back into the bedroom to check on Ivy. She holds back her laughter after hearing Ethan's parting words. She directly asks William if he is truly a virgin, contrasting him with playboys like Ethan.
“In fact, I think she is wonderful. But since you despise her so much... if she agrees, you can apply to terminate the match.”
“Besides, she'll start crying and making a scene. It's embarrassing. And who else would ever want her?”
“You actually have a woman in there? I didn't think the great virgin of our family had it in him. Have fun.”
“You're actually a virgin? I thought all the rich heirs in your family were playboys like Ethan.”
Ethan leaves thinking William is busy with a woman, unaware that Ivy is the one inside. The tension clears as William steps back into the bedroom.
