Maya Bennett takes a taxi to an office building at night to check an address from a card. Inside, she locates Room 410 and photographs a scratched-off Second Life wall logo. Outside, the blonde woman calls her name. She tells Maya to stop searching and destroy the evidence. The confrontation triggers a flashback where an unknown man offers Maya a brand new start.
Maya Bennett arrives by taxi outside an office building at night. She checks the address on her card to make sure she has the right location. Once she confirms the details, she heads inside to continue her search.
Maya walks through the building hallway and finds Room 410. On the wall, she notices a scraped-off logo mark that still reads SECOND LIFE. She pulls out her phone and takes a photo of the lettering.
Maya walks out of the office building and returns to the dark street. As she steps onto the pavement, a woman calls out her name from behind, stopping Maya in her tracks before she can leave.
Maya confronts the blonde woman in the white suit on the sidewalk. Maya demands answers about Second Life. The woman tells her to destroy the evidence, questions Maya's assumptions about who harmed her, and walks away into the night.
Maya wonders if she asked the wrong question. A memory surfaces of sitting across from a man in an office. He tells her she can begin again. Maya stands on the sidewalk, remembering an agreement she had completely forgotten.
“Whatever you found, destroy it.”
“You still think they did this to you?”
“You can start again.”
“I just couldn't remember that.”
Maya stands alone on the street as the memory rushes back to her. She recalls sitting across a desk from an unknown man who offered her a fresh start. This sudden flashback leaves a big question for the next episode: did Maya voluntarily ask Second Life to wipe her identity?
