In the lobby, Maya catches up with David and asks him to confirm who she is. David states that he has never met her. Maya tries logging into her work email, but the login screen reports that no such user exists. Melissa from HR walks up and also denies knowing her. Melissa explains that Maya Bennett is already upstairs working. Maya asks Melissa to bring her directly to this person.
Maya sees her coworker David in the office lobby and asks him to back up her identity. David tells her he does not know who she is. Maya attempts to log into her work email, but the system says the user does not exist.
Melissa from HR approaches Maya in the lobby. Melissa refuses to recognize Maya and claims she knows Maya Bennett well. She tells Maya that the real Maya Bennett is already upstairs working. Maya begs Melissa to take her up to see her.
Melissa agrees to guide Maya up to the office floors. The two women step into the elevator together. Maya waits quietly beside Melissa as the elevator ascends toward the floor where the other woman is working under her name.
“Sorry, do I know you?”
“I know who Maya is, but you're not Maya.”
“Maya's been in the office all morning.”
“Please, take me to her.”
The episode closes with Melissa and Maya riding the elevator up to the office. Melissa has agreed to lead Maya directly to the person working at her desk. Who is the woman claiming to be Maya Bennett upstairs, and how will she react when Maya confronts her face to face?
