Cassian moves his gun away from Fiona's neck. Tessa rubs her baby bump and taunts the barren women at the long banquet table. Inside Fiona's mind, Lucky Baby sits on a glowing cloud, calling Tessa foolish and explaining that Cassian cannot father a child without its fortune. Tessa warns Cassian that his child might not survive any punishment. Mrs. Belondi stops her, assesses Fiona, and orders Fiona to serve Cassian tonight.

Mrs. Belondi examines Fiona from across the hall. She compliments Fiona's body as fit for bearing children. Then she asks why Cassian has never bedded her before. Standing beside them, Fiona gives a nervous response to the question.

Mrs. Belondi issues a public order in front of the banquet guests. Since Tessa refuses to bear the heir willingly, Fiona must attend to Cassian tonight. The matriarch's command instantly cuts through Tessa's arrogance at the table.
