Aria learns she is pregnant at the hospital, but she spots Damon kissing Vivienne Sutton in the hallway. In a bathroom, Damon reveals Vivienne's mate mark on his chest and demands Aria swallow wolfsbane to abort their pup. Aria's wolf spirit Selene warns that the poison will destroy them both. When Aria refuses, Damon calls her a mere placeholder, grabs her by the neck, and forces the poison toward her throat.

Inside a modern bathroom, Damon orders Aria to drink a vial of green wolfsbane to abort their baby. Aria says no. Damon bares his chest to display a fresh mate mark branded there by Vivienne.

Aria gets a text from her father Roman about meeting Damon at the gala. A flashback reveals Aria went missing at age five, endured life in the Hayes pack, and was recently found by Roman and Helena.
01:06: Selene Gives a Warning
Damon mocks Aria and unplugs the vial of wolfsbane. Aria's glowing wolf spirit Selene appears beside her. Selene warns Aria that swallowing the poison will kill both her unborn pup and her inner wolf form.
01:28: Damon Attacks Aria
Damon tells Aria she was only a placeholder to help him become Alpha of the Sutton pack. Aria refuses to abort her pup. Damon slams her against the wall and chokes her to force down the poison.
