Erica Gray steps out of a carriage at Moonwolf Palace with Noah and Elena. The crowd stares, and Erica warns Noah to stay calm. A maid named Iris recognizes Erica and questions her young children. Noblewomen surround them, mock Erica, and demand a Moonstone test. Elena cries, and Noah runs toward the hall for an apology. On the palace steps, Karl watches the boy sprint across the courtyard.
Erica Gray steps down from a carriage into the Ancient Moon Shrine Courtyard with Noah and Elena. People nearby stare at the family with strange looks. Erica holds the children and warns Noah not to cause any trouble today.
Iris sees Erica with children, and noblewomen mock her for having pups with a stray wolf. They dare her to face the Moonstone. Elena cries. Noah’s eyes flash gold, and he pulls away to demand an apology inside.
Attendants lead Karl toward an audience with the Grand Moon Priest. From the outdoor palace steps, Karl looks down and spots Noah running through the plaza. The boy's stride reminds the Alpha King of a familiar childhood figure.
“You were already forty when you left Moonwolf Palace. And you had kids after that?”
“Then take them before the Moonstone and prove me wrong.”
“I won't summon my wolf. I just want an apology.”
“Why does the way he walks seem so familiar?”
Karl stops on the royal steps and stares down at Noah running toward the inner doors. The boy's stride catches his eye, bringing back an old memory from his youth. Will Karl intercept Noah before the guards react, and will he connect the boy’s walk to the Omega maid who vanished six years ago?
