Ava takes shelter inside the Capone mansion while gunshots echo outside the gate. On the staircase, the estate doctor tries to subdue the bleeding pup Leon with an electric shock baton. Ava hears Leon crying out in his mind about tooth pain. She runs up the stairs, wrestles the baton away, and checks his mouth. Ava finds a wooden splinter inside. Guards immediately surround her with guns, but Leon clings to her and growls.

00:00: Seeking Refuge in the Foyer
Gunfire and rogue wolf howls echo outside the estate gate. Ava runs inside the mansion foyer to hide from the danger. She slips into a crowd of applicants waiting in the hall while violence continues just beyond the doors.
00:14: A Cruel Shock Treatment
On the grand staircase landing, the doctor raises an electric baton over Leon. The bleeding pup thrashes in distress. While the doctor blames bloodline rage, Ava hears Leon's telepathic pleas about his hurting mouth and fears of the weapon.
00:30: Ava Disarms the Doctor
Ava bolts up the staircase toward the landing. She grabs the doctor's wrist with both hands before he can strike the pup. Ava twists his arm and forces the electric baton from his grip, sending it clattering to the floor.
00:46: The Real Source of Pain
The doctor shouts insults at Ava, but she pays him no mind. She lifts the trembling wolf pup into her arms to comfort him. Ava gently inspects his bleeding jaws and spots a sharp wooden splinter stuck inside his mouth.
01:03: Held at Gunpoint
Armed guards surround the landing and level submachine guns at Ava's head before she can pull the splinter free. Leon tightens his paws around Ava's dress, refusing to leave her side, and growls menacingly at the security team.

Guards aim their submachine guns directly at Ava's head on the landing. Instead of running, Leon buries his claws into Ava's dress and growls at the security team to defend her. With weapons locked on her, will Ava be able to remove the splinter from the pup's mouth before the guards pull the triggers?
