Claire arrives at the Hawthorne manor in her wedding dress. Nathan Hawthorne holds his mistress Chloe and tells Claire to crawl through a dog door. Chloe shoves Claire to the ground and insults her grandfather. Claire stands up and texts the Hawthorne family patriarch to replace the groom and the heir. Nathan locks Claire out of her car and demands gratitude. Claire calls him out for ditching their engagement and stealing gift money.

Claire walks toward the car to use the air conditioning. Nathan uses his remote control to lock the vehicle doors against her. Surrounding guests mock her situation. Nathan walks up and berates Claire, telling her she should be grateful to enter.
02:08: Claire Confronts Nathan
Tears fill Claire's eyes, but she stands firm before the gate. She lists Nathan's actions aloud. He abandoned her during their engagement to travel with Chloe and kept a million-dollar gift for Chloe's house. Claire demands to know who truly owes gratitude.
