Parasitic Zergs burst from corpses outside the stranded transport vehicle. As his companion panics, Rayne steps into the attached yellow utility mecha and faces the swarm alone. Rayne launches rockets and drills directly through the Alpha Zerg's body. The beast's green blood triggers a telepathic vision of the towering Zerg Queen. Rayne snaps back to reality, exits the cockpit, and collapses unconscious into the sand beside his companion.

Episode 6 scene by scene

  1. 00:00: Surrounded in the Canyon

    Parasites burst out of human corpses in the desert canyon. Rayne and Ben take cover inside the transport vehicle as the swarm approaches. Ben complains about the mecha pilots abandoning them, while the Alpha Zerg surrounds their carrier.

  2. 00:27: Deploying the Utility Mecha

    Rayne leaves the cabin and enters the yellow mining mecha mounted on the transport carrier. He activates the controls and powers up the machine. Stepping out into the canyon, Rayne moves forward alone to face the advancing swarm.

  3. 00:50: Targeting the Alpha Zerg

    Rayne figures out that the Alpha Zerg directs the swarm. He launches rockets at the horde. An alien tentacle strike damages his mecha's arm, but Rayne fires the boosters and uses the drill to pierce straight through the monster's body.

  4. 01:37: Vision of the Queen

    Green blood sprays across Rayne inside the cockpit as the Alpha dies. The contact pulls Rayne's consciousness into a pitch-black void. There, a towering silhouette of the Zerg Queen speaks to him, declaring that the Swarm is eternal.

  5. 01:48: Collapse on the Sand

    Rayne awakens from the psychic vision and climbs out of the battered mecha. As he reaches the desert ground, his legs give out. Ben runs over to check on him, and Rayne loses consciousness on the sand.

Rayne falls unconscious onto the desert dirt in Ben's arms after destroying the Alpha Zerg. The psychic image of the massive Zerg Queen flashes across the screen as darkness sets in. Will Rayne survive the physical toll and alien blood exposure from this brutal fight, or has the Queen claimed a permanent mental link to his mind?
