Queen Isolde returns to Avelon Palace looking youthful. Prince Julian hugs her in the grand hall, and Archmage Merlinus Woden presents the ley crystal that preserves her youth. Julian takes Isolde to rest in his private chamber before introducing her to his fiancée, Lady Mabel. Outside the door, Lady Peggy spots their hug and misinterprets it. She runs to tell Mabel, and Mabel rallies her relatives to storm the chamber.

Furious about the alleged mistress, Lady Mabel takes charge of the palace hallway. She orders her relatives to march with her directly to the private royal chamber to confront the unknown woman hiding inside Prince Julian's personal quarters.
