Claire Hayes walks into her cellar and points a gun at Rowan Black, an imprisoned werewolf held in a cage. Rowan explains Henry Hayes put him there to shield her from Victor. Claire heads upstairs to a desk and listens to a tape recorded by her late father. The tape warns her about Victor and Red Winter. Back downstairs, Rowan claims the cage device stopped his shifting and names himself as a murder witness just as Victor knocks.

00:00: Gunpoint in the Cellar
Claire enters the basement dungeon and points her firearm at Rowan, who sits locked inside a cage. Rowan tells Claire that her father Henry chained him there to keep her uncle Victor from tracking her down.
00:28: Henry's Recorded Warning
Claire goes to the desk area to play an audio cassette left behind by Henry. On the tape, her late father warns her that Victor has launched Red Winter and urges her to follow evidence instead of their family name.
00:44: The Interrogation and Knock
Claire heads back to Rowan's cage to question him further. Rowan states the machine held back his werewolf transformation and that he saw who murdered Henry. Outside, Victor pounds on the basement door and calls out to Claire.
