Alex Reed and Charlotte Bennett are drugged and enter the same hotel room after their key cards get mixed up. The drugs take effect, and they spend the night together. The next morning, a doctor calls Alex to report his mother died of sudden cardiac arrest. Alex slips an heirloom ring onto Charlotte's hand and leaves. He arrives soaked at the memorial hall, where relatives accuse him of his mother's murder.

Drugged Alex and Charlotte enter the same hotel room after finding their room keys switched. Realizing their drinks contained drugs, they lose control as the substances kick in and embrace each other intimately.
