Ruth kicks Connor's footwear to stop him from bullying Era. When Connor screams in rage, Era threatens to broadcast his past and carries Ruth away. At the market, Era uses her meager cash to purchase a cheap frozen pizza and a tiny piece of meat. She serves all the meat to Ruth and Mrs. Cooper. After cutting the pizza into hearts, Era faces harsh questioning from Mrs. Cooper.
