Thunder claps as Ava wakes up screaming from a nightmare about locked doors. Claire rushes to her side to hold her and confirm the bedroom door is unlocked. Lucas runs in after calling a doctor. Claire takes his phone and directs him to sit with them. The pair build a pillow fort on the floor. Ava laughs, holds Lucas's hands, and hears him promise that he is not going anywhere.

00:00: Nightmare in the Storm
Thunder crashes outside as Ava wakes up screaming and begging someone not to lock the door. Claire hurries into the bedroom right away. She reassures Ava that the door remains open and Ava is safe. Ava hugs her tightly and cries.
00:29: Claire Takes Lucas's Phone
Lucas rushes into the room and announces that he contacted Dr. Miller for help. Claire grabs the phone straight out of his hand. She tells Lucas he is Ava's father and orders him to take a seat on the floor.
00:38: Building the Pillow Fort
Claire and Lucas start gathering cushions and pillows across the rug to construct a fort. Lucas struggles to keep his pillow wall standing upright. Claire banters with him about the collapse, and Ava begins to laugh at the sight.
00:47: A Father's Promise
Lucas holds out both of his hands toward his daughter. Ava reaches forward and places her small hands into his. She asks him not to walk away. Lucas looks back at her and gives her his word.
