Xavier kicks Emily Carter's ringing phone away so she cannot reach Dr. Adrian Whitmore. He grabs her chin and threatens her with a belt. Out on the wet city streets, Adrian drives fast through the rain. Emily fights back against Xavier's attack by slashing his arm with a broken mirror shard. Furious, Xavier pins Emily to the floor and strangles her. Adrian kicks the apartment door open right as Emily suffocates.

Adrian Whitmore speeds through the dark, wet city streets behind the wheel of his car. Rain pours down on the windshield as he presses hard on the gas, praying out loud that Emily Carter is still unharmed.

Xavier Whitmore grips a leather belt and threatens to beat Emily Carter to death. Emily calls him a psycho to his face. When he lunges forward, she seizes a broken shard of mirror and slashes Xavier's arm with it.

The bleeding cut sends Xavier Whitmore into a furious rage. He forces Emily Carter down against the apartment floorboards, wraps his hands around her neck, and squeezes, shouting that he is going to end her life himself.
00:40: Adrian Breaches the Apartment Door
Emily Carter gasps for breath under Xavier Whitmore's hands on the floor. A sudden loud impact shakes the hallway outside. Adrian Whitmore kicks the front entrance open and stands directly in the broken doorway of the apartment.
