Maeve misses Asher on purpose with her magical orb and takes his blast directly. She falls to the ground covered in blood. Asher gathers her in his arms and runs off calling for the High Priest. Hidden in the trees, Lila watches them and vows to defeat her sister. Inside the palace corridor, Asher apologizes for her shoulder but urges her to spare Lila. Maeve slaps his face and walks away.

00:00: Blast on the Cliffside
Maeve intentionally fires her magic orb past Asher and takes the brunt of his attack. She falls bleeding to the dirt. Asher gathers her into his arms as she warns him not to mention her mother, then carries her toward the High Priest.
00:50: Lila Watches from the Trees
Lila stands hidden in the woods near the cliff edge. She clenches her fist as she watches Asher carry the wounded Maeve away. Lila angrily vows to herself that she will not let Maeve take Asher from her.
01:01: A Slap in the Corridor
Asher stops Maeve in the palace corridor and apologizes for hurting her shoulder. He then asks her to go easy on Lila. Maeve strikes him across the face, draws blood, and walks away, ready to leave him to Lila forever.

Maeve strikes Asher across the face and cuts his skin. She leaves him standing alone in the hallway, resolved to depart for the Wasteland and let him marry Lila. Will Asher finally recognize Maeve's intentions before she leaves the kingdom, or will Lila succeed in driving them apart forever?
