Sila
Comic artist and protagonist
Sila writes romance comics under threat of contract termination. Desperate for original dragon art references, she takes in a horned beast sent by her best friend. Sila treats him like an obedient snake slave, ordering chores and sketching his bare chest. Her confidence shatters once she discovers her docile pet is actually an apex predator hunting for a mate.
Pearl
Silver Dragon posing as a Serpent Slave
Pearl hides dragon wings and an ancient lineage behind the mask of a domestic servant. He tolerates Sila's chores, swallows raw meat to maintain his cover, and lets her stroke his scales. Pearl seeks a mate. He uses Sila's ignorance to draw close before cornering her with his silver tail and demanding she bear his dragon eggs.
Best Friend
Researcher at the Interstellar Species Research Institute
Sila's close friend attempts to rescue Sila's flagging comic career by ordering a serpent slave to her door. She understands interstellar species lore, knowing dragons feed on gems and avoid humans. Her video call alerts Sila to the delivery refund, exposing the silver-haired beast in the kitchen as a deadly Silver Dragon.
Editor
Sila's publishing comic editor
The editor values original romance tropes and commercially viable comic pages. After Sila's latest work tanks due to cliché plots, the editor delivers an ultimatum threatening contract termination. This career pressure forces Sila to seek wild inspiration, setting off the chain of events that brings a live dragon into her home studio.
Story so far
A creative slump can make an artist desperate. Comic artist Sila faces a cancelled contract after her latest romance story flops with readers. Her best friend at the Interstellar Species Research Institute pitches a fix: draw a dragon romance comic, using a cheap serpent slave as a live reference model. The scheme falls apart the minute Sila opens her front door. She assumes the horned, silver-tailed stranger on her porch is a docile pet with low intelligence. She orders him to scrub floors and pose on the balcony. Sila treats him like domestic help, completely unaware of his real identity.
The domestic power dynamic flips fast. Pearl plays along with Sila's orders, but his compliance is pure calculation. He cleans the living room and models without a shirt on. When Sila feeds him raw meat under the belief that snakes crave raw flesh, he swallows it to please her and secretly forces himself to vomit. Yet he stays. His patience is not submissive obedience. Pearl is actively courting her. When Sila rubs his silver tail scales, his body overheats. He retreats to a cold shower to suppress his arousal. Then he breaks into fluent speech and dances an aristocratic courtship waltz right in her bedroom.
Power shifts entirely when a phone call shatters the illusion. The research institute issues a refund because the actual serpent slave was sent back. The beast standing in Sila's kitchen is a Silver Dragon, the most volatile predator in the dragon mountains. When Sila bolts for the door, Pearl cuts off her exit. The docile servant vanishes, replaced by a winged beast demanding that Sila bear his dragon eggs.
