Vera waits outside a shopping mall, hoping Lucas will remember the fire from seven years ago. Instead, Monica drives up in a pink sports car and hits Vera on purpose. Monica leaves her bleeding in the street. Paramedics rush Vera to the hospital. Vera spots Lucas near Monica in the corridor and assumes the worst. Lucas actually turns Monica away to stay loyal to his marriage, then tries calling Vera.
