Sophie's father urges Nathan to focus on appearances and head downstairs to marry. Instead, Nathan calls the car fleet, turns the cars back to the hotel, and calls off the pickup. Nathan hands the bridal shoes back to Sophie's father. When Dylan taunts him, Nathan fires back, tears off his corsage, and walks out on a weeping Sophie.

Sophie grabs Nathan outside the doorway and begs him to complete the ceremony first. Nathan coldly rips off his groom's boutonniere and throws it onto the floor. He walks away down the hall, leaving Sophie collapsed on the floor crying loudly.
