Episode 2 · Vivian Harrison, Serena, Lily
Serena admits to Vivian that she framed Lily and laughs at Vivian for kicking her real daughter out. Vivian cries on the floor and asks if Serena ever saw her as a mother. Serena mocks her, takes the bread, and tells her to die quietly. Vincent explains they will take her wealth, then locks the door. Lily arrives, frantically shaking the padlock.
Serena mocks Vivian for believing her lies and casting Lily out. She admits she set Lily up from the start. Vivian lies weeping on the floor with profound regret after hearing the truth about her biological child.
Vivian asks Serena if she ever thought of her as a real mother. Serena laughs in her face. She takes away the piece of moldy bread, calls their family bond a performance, and tells Vivian to die quietly.
Vivian asks why they are treating her this way. Vincent coldly tells her that everything she owns becomes theirs once she dies. He and Serena walk out of the cabin together and snap a padlock shut on the door.
Lily sprints through the dark night toward the shack. She grabs the padlock, shakes it violently, and screams out for Vivian. Trapped inside on the ground, Vivian hears her daughter calling her as bright light washes over her eyes.
“Calling you Mom was nothing but an act. You actually thought I was your daughter?”
“Because when you're dead, everything you own is ours, you stupid old woman.”
“Mom! Are you in there? Mom!”
Lily desperately pulls at the locked door, screaming into the dark for her mother. Inside the cabin, Vivian lies weak on the floor, hearing Lily's voice as a blinding light suddenly covers her vision. Will Lily manage to get inside in time to save Vivian, or has Vivian already taken her final breath?
