Who is who in Mind Reading Beasts, and how they are connected.
Clola Summe
Transmigrated Protagonist
Clola is a modern woman thrust into the body of an abusive tribal female. She relies on fast wits, tactical tears, and a magical grimoire to survive angry fiancés and spiteful rivals. While her spoken words play the submissive victim, her loud inner thoughts broadcast dangerous prophecies and blunt observations that keep the beastmen off balance.
Nero Thane
Black Snake Beastman & Hunter
Nero leads the tribe's hunting parties with cold authority and harbors deep resentment over past mistreatment. His favorability toward Clola drops to a perilous minus ninety-eight. He listens closely to her telepathic leaks, shaken by her mental prediction that he will transform into a demon and die in battle. Despite his hostility, he steps in to break her fall.
Daisy Prince
Silverwolf Clan Rival
Daisy despises Clola and constantly pushes tribal leadership to expel or execute her. She tries framing Clola with drugged meat and revisits an old poison fruit incident to spark outrage. Her plans backfire when Clola turns tribal law against her, earning Daisy twenty lashes from the chief instead of the public banishment she sought.
Luke Fawne
Fox Beastman Fiancé
Luke uses charm and playful banter to probe Clola's sudden behavioral shifts. He tests her habits over roasted meat and participates in intimidating her at the hot spring. When his charm talent fails against her mind, he gathers the other beastmen on a cliffside, coolly proposing they eliminate Clola if she proves to be a tribal threat.
Tink
Magic Book Guide
Tink is a winged spirit serving Clola after the grimoire marks her as a junior intern witch. Tink provides critical divinations, conjuring purification spells, instant noodles, and the Magic Fountain. The fairy also delivers vital status warnings and alerts Clola whenever plummeting favorability levels threaten to trigger the lethal tribal curse.
Story so far
Survival in a tribal wilderness rarely starts with a clean slate. Clola wakes up inside a hostile settlement, trapped in the body of a cruel female despised by her five beastmen fiancés. The previous owner whipped them without mercy. She also laced their barbecue with forbidden love flower juice to force a pregnancy. Fantasy romances often grant the transmigrated heroine an instant reset, but this story denies Clola an easy escape. The males remember every strike of the lash. Blue Tribe custom calls for fifty slashes and immediate banishment into the wild. Her survival depends entirely on staying inside tribal borders.
The core tension shifts the moment Clola loses control of her inner voice. Her unfiltered thoughts broadcast straight into the minds of the men who want her punished. They overhear her raw terror and her specific prophecies about their brutal demises. This psychological link breaks the standard revenge script. Rolle Wolfe and Flynn Blaze cannot simply discard her when she holds foreknowledge of their destruction. The males realize she can predict the future. They choose to preserve the marriage contract to extract her secrets, stripping Clola of her chance to walk away peacefully. The power dynamic becomes an uneasy stalemate where neither side trusts the other.
Clola must navigate dangerous tribal politics while managing a strict survival meter. Her magic book and fairy guide Tink hand her supernatural tools, ranging from food purification to a rare healing fountain. Still, every interaction carries lethal stakes. When black snake beastman Nero Thane sees his favorability rating plunge toward negative one hundred, Clola faces an automatic death curse. She has to pacify angry warriors while outmaneuvering rivals like Daisy Prince in public disputes. Clola seeks complete freedom from her fiancés, but the males tighten their collective grip. Mind Reading Beasts episode guide
EP 1: A Witch Awakens
Clola wakes up in a beastman wooden hut after transmigrating into an abusive female's body. Her five fiancés corner her for drugging their food, demanding fifty lashes and tribal expulsion. Her panicked internal cries echo in their minds through telepathy. Before Flynn Blaze reports her to the chief, a magic book appears and makes Clola a junior intern witch.
EP 2: The Poison Test
Clola's magic elf Tink purifies the drugged barbecue using a divination spell. Silverwolf clan member Daisy Prince brings Chief Randolph Wolfe and witch doctor Elden Moore to inspect the meat with test powder. The medicine powder fails to detect any poison. Daisy demands Clola's exile anyway, but a strange magical aura suddenly glows around Clola's body.
EP 3: Prophecies by the Fire
Clola feigns tears by the bonfire while her private thoughts forecast grim fates for the golden lion and white wolf. The beastmen overhear these accurate predictions through mind reading. They step forward to block Daisy's demands for banishment and defend Clola before the chief. A sudden mystical radiance envelops Clola before the stunned crowd.
EP 4: Breaking the Betrothal
Daisy brings up an old incident where Clola fed Nero poisonous red fruit. Clola flips the accusation, proving the fruit treats snake venom and exposing Daisy's past setup. The tribal leader orders Daisy whipped twenty times and awards Clola ten animal skins. Clola accepts the pelts and immediately shocks everyone by announcing she wants to break off her engagements.
EP 5: The Fox and the Ledger
The beastmen refuse Clola's demand to cancel the marriage contracts after mind reading reveals she can foresee future events. The purple-haired fox beastman stays behind to grill meat and tests her sudden personality change. Clola shoves him out of her bedroom. Her magic book then manifests. It announces that Nero's favorability toward her sits at minus ninety-eight.
EP 6: The Apology Game
Tink warns Clola that minus one hundred favorability triggers an instant death curse. Desperate to pacify Nero, Clola visits the hot spring where the beastmen bathe. They reject her hollow apology and lock a leather collar onto her neck. The five males shift into their massive beast forms and corner a terrified Clola on the riverbank fur pelts.
EP 7: The Magic Fountain
Clola awakens from a nightmare and consults her magic book. She divines instant noodles and a Super Rare Magic Fountain for safety. On a nearby cliff, the five beastmen assess Clola. Luke notes his charm ability failed against her. The snake beastman resolves to test his own powers on Clola during the upcoming hunt.
EP 8: A Demon Foretold
Gathering captain Gina Weaver summons Clola to the altar and feels surprised by her willing cooperation. Clola admires the warriors before cowering internally at Nero's intimidating gaze. Nero leads the hunters out toward the gate. Clola watches him depart and privately laments that Nero will later turn into a murderous demon. Nero overhears the prophecy in disbelief.
EP 9: Ambush on the Trail
Peach tries to bribe a starving Clola with wild fruit in exchange for insulting Nero on the mountain trail. Clola snatches the food, dodges Peach's charge, and brings Captain Gina over to punish Peach with extra foraging duties. Clola later stumbles from exhaustion near a boulder, but Nero rushes in and catches her in his arms.
Memorable lines
“Clola, you used banned drugs. Under Blue Tribe rules, that's fifty slashes and expulsion.”
“Two months ago, she forced Lord Nero to eat poisonous fruit, causing Lord Nero to vomit blood and almost die!”
“Of course, we're deciding whether to... Kill her.”
“I will be killed? What is she talking about?”
