At the Hale estate, she spots a portrait of Ethan, Sunny, and Lily on the wall. During dinner, Sunny brags about her pregnancy and insults Grace. Grace interrupts, reveals Ethan fathered Lily before their wedding, and publicly demands a divorce.
Ethan looks at photos of Sunny on his phone. When Grace walks out of the bathroom, he orders her to dress up for the estate dinner for Uncle Andrew. He threatens her not to look miserable over her scars. Grace brushes him away.
Grace walks into the Hale Family Estate wearing a black-and-white gown and gloves. In the hallway corridor, she stops in front of a prominent family portrait. The painting features Ethan, Sunny, and Lily together, without any sign of Grace on the wall.
At the dinner table, Sunny boasts about carrying Ethan's child and mocks Grace. Grace interrupts the table. She exposes Ethan's long absences, reveals that Lily was born before their wedding, and demands an immediate divorce in front of the entire family.
“Listen to me, Grace. I don't care how pathetic you feel about your scars. Today you better put on a smile. If you dare to show that miserable face of yours and upset my family, especially Uncle Andrew, I will make sure you regret it.”
“In five years of marriage, Ethan, you were home perhaps thirty nights, not thirty percent, thirty nights. You had a daughter with someone else before our wedding. Lily is older than our marriage. If anyone in this marriage failed their vows, I think we all know who that was. And it wasn't me.”
“I want a divorce.”
Grace looks directly at Ethan across the dining table and firmly states that she wants a divorce. Her sudden announcement stuns Ethan, Sunny, and the family elders sitting around them. Will the Hale family let Grace walk away from Ethan, or will the elders refuse to accept her demand to end the marriage?
